    History Repeats for Hunter’s Wines...

    Saturday 16 April 2016 saw Hunter's Wines win the coveted Wine of the Show at the Sunday Times Vintage Festival in London, UK. The award is a repeat of the famous 1986 award that put Hunter's Wines and New Zealand wines on the world stage. Back then, the late Ernie Hunter collected the award to great praise and popular media coverage. In 2016 it was Jane Hunter's brother in law and Hunter's General Manager, Peter Macdonald, who was on hand to accept the award.

    Klipdrift Premium has been named 2016’s World’s Best Brandy at the World Brandy Awards. Devotees of a regular ‘Klippies and coke’ might not recognise the World Brandy Awards panel’s description of Klipdrift Premium’s “aromas of milk chocolate, sponge cake and caramel”, “gentle woodiness” and “a sweet, fruity finish”, but most will agree that “there is indeed gold in every drop of Klipdrift”, in the words of marketing manager Genius Mnywabe.

    Neudorf Announce New Label

    Neudorf Vineyards founders Tim and Judy Finn have renamed one of their chardonnays and dedicated it to their daughter – Rosie. Neudorf Rosie’s Block Chardonnay 2015 will be released on April 1st. Previously this wine was simply Neudorf Chardonnay – a sister wine to the iconic Neudorf Moutere Chardonnay. Winemaker Todd Stevens says the name reflects the block overlooking the Home Vineyard at Neudorf.
