Hunter's scoop Sauvignon Blanc trophy

Hunter’s are delighted with the trophy for best Sauvignon Blanc of the show at the 2013 International Cool Climate Wine Show in Australia.  Hunter’s Marlborough 2012 Sauvignon Blanc was the winning wine and was picked as the trophy winner from four gold medal 2012 Sauvignon Blancs.

Hunter’s Wines also took out silver medals for their 2012 Marlborough Riesling and 2011 Marlborough Chardonnay.

The International Cool Climate Wine Show is an annual wine show showing the best cool climate wines, the event attracts winemakers, vineyard owners, sommeliers and wine enthusiasts from around the world.

The Red Hill Agricultural and Horticultural Society established the Cool Climate Wine Show in 2000 to help benchmark cool climate wines. Entries have increased from 373 in the first show to 650 in 2012.

The Cool Climate Wine Show aims to raise the profile of cool climate wines, judge comparable wines in an open competition format, emphasise the styles predominantly produced from grapes grown in cool climates and highlight quality, aged wines from cool climates.
